Artistes
Ojas Natu, age 11, is our youngest artiste so far. He studies in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Std. VI). Ojas has been learning tabla from Pt. Suresh Samant since 2008. He has won many awards for outstanding Tabla performance. Some of his other interests include reading, badminton and mathematics.
Uday began his studies early with Pt H.Somashekhar, Pt Ravindra Yavagal Of
Bangalore,Pt Suraj Purandare of Dharwad. He was also privileged to
learn under Pt.Vaman rao Mirazkar of Kolhapur. All of Uday’s teachers
have been from the Delhi and Farrukhabad Gharana (school) of
Tabla-playing. He is thus fortunate enough to have learnt under the
Lineage of Legendry Tabla Maestro Ustad Ahmed Jan Tirakwa and presently
under the lineage of Ustad Amir Hussain Khan.
Uday has accompanied many leading instrumentalist and vocalists of the
country. He has given solo performance all over India. Uday is presently
